Phone sales hours: 8:00 – 4:30 CST Monday – Friday / 24 Hour Fax / Online 24/7 at ww.quartermax.com. We will make every effort possible to ship orders received before 12:00 noon the same day. We cannot guarantee any order will ship on the same day it is ordered, including those orders requesting air services. If you do not wish to order online our order form can be downloaded from our website, which you then can print out from your computer and mail or fax in your order. Please note that a shipper cannot deliver to a PO Box. Due to price fluctuations from our vendors, all prices published on this website are subject to change without notice. All forms of payment mailed to our office must include payment for freight as calculated by our shipping department. Please remit all forms of payment to R J Race Cars, Inc.
Terms
We accept American Express, Discover Card, Master Card, and Visa. All credit cards are checked using an Address Verification System. For your protection, we reserve the right to refuse shipment to any address not listed as the card’ s billing address. Any order failing address verification is subject to credit hold pending further verification. We may also require the card holder to fill out a Credit Card Authorization form. As added security, we may require photocopies of the front and back of the credit card being used, and a photocopy of a second I.D. such as a driver’ s license. This is required on all overseas orders. Orders can be prepaid using cashier’ s checks or money orders and must include sufficient funds to cover shipping. Orders paid for in this manner will be held until funds have cleared the issuing bank. COD payments are reserved for established accounts in good standing and may be limited to $500.00 per order. Additional handling charges may be applied to international orders. All shipments via truck must be prepaid and are shipped freight collect. Carbon fiber products require 100% prepayment all other special order items and chassis require a minimum 50% deposit. Payment terms for cars are defined in their contracts. Deposits for any custom special order(s) are not refundable. Special order items may be subject to additional incoming freight charges. Unless prior authorization is received, all items purchased at our location must be paid in full by secured funds. Any items remaining in our possession for 30 days after receipt or notification of completion are subject to additional fees and/or forfeiture of the item(s). Additional charges for storage may be applied. Please remit all forms of payment to R J Race Cars, Inc.
Tax
All sales transacted in Illinois or shipped to an IL address are subject to Illinois state sales tax (this includes all items picked up at our facility). If your purchase is exempt, we must have a copy of your company’ s business registration and a current tax exemption certificate on file.
Return Policy
Quarter-Max® will accept items purchased from us, with the exception of electrical devices, books, software, special orders and custom built parts, for return or exchange within a period of 14 days from the date of the invoice. We do not refund shipping or handling charges. After 14 days, we will accept only DEFECTIVE parts for repair or exchange at our discretion. Coil springs can be exchanged at our discretion, as long as they are returned in sellable condition with no rust or scratches. All returns are subject to a 20% re-boxing and re-stocking charge. All header kits will be charged the 20% re-boxing and re-stocking fee, NO EXCEPTIONS. Special orders, custom built parts or any item built to customer specifications will not be accepted for return or exchange. Any items which have been used, modified, altered or returned in such a condition as to not be resellable will not be accepted and no credit will be processed. Items to be exchanged must be in our possession and inspected before we can send out the exchange parts without charging you for the item(s). If you require the part before this process can be completed, we will be glad to ship the new item billed to your credit card and then issue the credit once the original item returns to us in good condition. Before returning any item for credit or exchange, you must call to obtain a RMA. Please have your invoice handy when you call to get your RMA. All returns and exchanges must have a RMA number clearly visible on the outside of the box and a copy of the original invoice inside the box, along with any other documentation that may be required to process your request.
Shipping
We use UPS as our primary carrier including international shipping. All orders will be shipped via UPS ground, unless otherwise specified. We reserve the right to refuse shipment to any address. Items restricted due to size or weight restrictions will be shipped freight collect via commercial freight carriers. Due to carrier restrictions, we are unable to provide air services for some items in our catalog. The FOB locations for drop shipments are dictated by our suppliers. All other items are FOB Galesburg, IL. Please refer to the map on page 95 for approximate delivery times. Additional handling charges will be applied to all orders using an alternate carrier. However, if you still wish to use an alternate carrier (ie...Fedex, DHL), you must contact our shipping manager directly for special request and authorization. Your request will be approved or denied. After receiving approval from our shipping Manager, the customer is responsible for all arrangements for use of these alternate carriers. This includes but is not limited to, contacting the carrier to schedule the pickup and also pre-payment to the carrier for the shipment using the customer’ s carrier account or customer’ s credit card. Any claims for service failures or damages when using an alternate carrier are the responsibility of the customer.

UPS Shipping Notice
The shipping charges for ALL Ground and Air packages are subject to oversize and dimensional weight charges, which are more expensive, and may differ from the charges for the actual weight of the package. This applies to all packages and is very common especially in larger lightweight parts. For example, a hood scoop package may weigh 15 pounds, but when oversize or dimensional weight is calculated, you will be charged for a package that is based on 97 pounds. Please keep this in mind.
Refused Shipments
The customer shall be liable for any costs incurred from any refused shipment(s) regardless of reason/circumstance. R J Race Cars, Inc. will be reimbursed for this expense before any further shipments will be permitted. Customers with prior refusals must prepay or provide a credit card number for any future order.
Claims Policy
Inspect your order upon receipt. Claims for damages, open or concealed, must be made immediately to the delivery company. Bring any damage to the attention of the delivery person and make a written notice. If a shipment is damaged, keep box and packing materials for carrier inspection. Take photographs if possible. Claims for shortages or incorrect items must be made to R J Race Cars, Inc. within five days of delivery.
